VIPs launched ‘Bookyanna Dreaming’ exhibition

‘Bookyanna Dreaming’ exhibition launched

Media Release from 17th April 2017

For immediate Release

The first solo exhibition by Aboriginal Artist Janet Milera has been launched on 1st April 2017 by 6 VIP speakers, 68 guests and the artists family members from all over the country.

HON Dr Susan Close MP unveiled after her speech the masterpiece by the artist, a life-size painting of a female emu where the artist used emu feathers to let the work look as authentic as possible. The work stunned not only Minister Close but also the other speakers and the public (see Portside Messenger 29th March 2017, page 3).

As the recently appointed Shadow Minister for Aboriginal Affairs HON Steven Marshall MP had to attend a pre-election function Dr Close happily accepted to read his launch message (see attached pdf).
