“Summer & Holidays” Exhibition by Port Adelaide Artist Julie Meadows

ASSP Gallery Port Adelaide presented from November 2015 – 31st January 2016 at the Port Adelaide Enfield Council Public Library Greenacres a summer and holidays themed exhibition.

To the Artist: 

ASSP, Gallery, Exhibitions, Julie Meadows. Artist, Painter, Acrylics, PAECC, Library, Greenacres, 2Foster Rd, Port Adelaide, Julie was born in Adelaide and has lived most of her life near the beach. She took up painting late in life. She loves to travel, the beach and the Outback brings the most inspiration for her paintings.

Aboriginal Art, Craft and Woodcarvings Exhibition

ASSP Gallery Port Adelaide presented from 5th February to 20th March 2016 a shared Aboriginal Art, Craft and Woodcarvings exhibition which showcased traditional and contemporary paintings by established, awarded artists. Guests and visitors used the opportunity to asked questions to Aboriginal history, culture, the artworks and the Dreamtime stories. Showcased were also a wide range of hand-carved traditional tools and weapons.

ASSP Gallery Port Adelaide presented from Monday 1st August 2016 to Wednesday 31st August 2016 our SALA 2016 Exhibitor Dianne Vanstone who has inherited the arts!

We’ll mention here only the most famous person of the artist family Dianne originated from: her grandfather John Longstaff, as we recognised visitors did know him more than others of Dianne’s family. Sir John was a famous War Artist, 5-times Archibald-Prize recipient and the first Australian which was knighted https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Longstaff
