A photographic exhibition from 3rd June to 26th July 2016 of Port Adelaide and surrounding suburbs by
Adelaides Sue Smith Photography (ASSP)® complimented by theme-related paintings.

"PORT ADELAIDE AND ITS PEOPLE" EXHIBITION

The exhibition, launched on the 3rd July 2016, showed a wide range of aerials, the historic and modern Port Adelaide, landmarks and buildings, the Port River and its modern and historic maritime sites include tall ships, tugs, lighthouse, dolphins, bridges, landscapes, industrypeople, fauna, flora, ships graveyards, Quarantine Station, Garden Island, surrounding suburbs from Largs Bay and Semaphore, the Outer Harbor Terminal with the Cruise ShipsVIP visitors and unusual studies of Port Adelaide, Sue did also not hesitate to showcase in her photographs Environmental problems in the local area.

The exhibition was complemented by the only non-Aboriginal painting by one of the 2016 exhibitors at ASSP Gallery Port Adelaide: the lovely Aboriginal Elder Annette Gai Boreham aka Sparrow was showing Billie our famous late Port River Bottlenose Dolphin tail-walking.

Also a 2016 artist is Lindsay Kilminster  http://lindsay.cybervisualsdesign.com/ who distributed the oil paintings of his live painting demonstrations at ASSP Gallery Port Adelaide.

Vote for the exhibition work you like most!

Planing and organising an exhibition is very time consuming. a lot of organisational and administrative work have to be done beside the day-by-day business, meetings, networking, etc. that’s why we present  you in September an Art-Show of not only one artists.

Most of you remember the exhibitions where Sue offered you to fill in a questionnaire to have the chance to win an artwork or a money prize, same system will be used for the “Artist Of The Month” voting but this time you can not only vote in-house but also by email, on our website in leaving a comment and on our Social Media pages where the works will be published.

Conditions of Participation:

  • Artist Of The Month:
    Only one entry per person per month for one artwork can be accepted
  • Entries for the artwork of your choice have to be submitted latest by the 15th of the following month
  • Winners will be informed by email latest four weeks after submission end.

There is another competition which you should keep in mind: the “Artist Of The Year”

  • Artist Of The Year:
  • Only one entry per person for the “Artist Of The Year” award can be accepted
  • Entries for the “Artist Of The Year”  award have to be submitted latest by 31st January 2017
