11th International Award for Port Adelaide Photographer
20th July 2018
2D and 3D artists, including photography & digital art from around the world, were called upon to make online submissions for possible inclusion into the Light Space & Time Gallery’s July 15th 2018 online group art exhibition. Artists were asked to submit to this open (no theme) competition by providing the gallery with their best abstract or representational art for this “555 Special” competition.
Port Adelaide’s Sue Smith, a photographer and painter, followed this call in entering a digital artwork, reflecting on Port Adelaide: “Ships and Shapes”which gained a Special Recognition Award [see attachment].
The submission process and competition for the artists began in June 1, 2018 and concluded on July 10, 2018.
The gallery received 1,558 entries from 39 different countries from around the world, as well as from 43 different states and the District of Columbia.
The exhibition has been divided into three media categories: Painting & Other Media, 3 Dimensional Art, and Photography & Digital.
The gallery included Special Merit awards and Special Recognition awards for outstanding art. Many of the artists in either of these groups could have easily been included in the upper tier of our winners, as their art was also exceptional.
Winning artists for each exhibition will be promoted and circulated to over 550+ major News Outlets, Premium FOX, CBS, NBC, Affiliated Sites, guaranteed inclusion on Google News & Bing News and Social Media Inclusion.
The winning images will be seen by an international audience of gallery directors, art collectors and art consultants. News of each winning artist’s participation is also emailed to the over 19,000+ subscribers. Those who subscribe to our bulletins include gallery owners, corporate art representatives, art collectors and decision makers in the fine arts field.
The winning entries will be featured on the Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery website for one month and then remain in the gallery’s Archives for 5 years.
There will also be a video of the winning artists’ artworks on the Light Space & Time YouTube Channel. In addition, there will also be links back to the artists’ website as part of this achievement package.
Winning artists also receive a digital Award Certificate, Event Postcard, and Press Release for their art portfolio.
The competitive process will encompass not only the quality and depth of the artist’s artwork but will also include an evaluation of the overall presentation of the artist’s biography and artist’s statement as included in the entry package. The requirement of a complete entry package creates an opportunity for the artist to craft and to polish their artist statement and artist biography.
Congratulations to our artists who made our “555 Special” Art Exhibition so successful this month. At any time, we invite our winning artists and other interested visitors to link their websites to the Gallery’s archive page for further ongoing promotion.
